Craft
This page highlights how I've demonstrated competency as a craftsperson. Craft is having command over methods and materials in the effective use of media to support ideas. I have demonstrated craft through my processes in art making, the evolution of my old work to my new work, and my other creative hobbies that further develop my craft.
Process Photos of Hyperrealism Portrait
I have included process photos of this drawing as it shows my craft in the ability to create a sense of finish early in a drawing. Fully rendering as you go along isn't the only way to develop an artwork, but it does establish a well-crafted piece. I also wanted to include this drawing to demonstrate craft as it shows the patience needed in creation. I spent dozens of hours on this one piece, paying attention to the overall values as well as the small details.

Evolution of Work
I demonstrate craft through the evolution of my work over time. Both of these pieces use the same materials and techniques, but there are 4 years between them. My newest hyperrealism portrait shows more texture and a greater span of values, showing my development of craft overtime.

Creative Hobbies
I practice in many artistic medias, including drawing, painting, and ceramics. I also do woodworking. I have included this bowl and clock I have created because they demonstrate my craftsmanship across many mediums and my ability to make work that is neat and well constructed.
