Creativity
This page highlights how I've demonstrated competency in creativity. Creativity is my ability to conceive and adapt ideas as I conceptualize, develop, and complete works of art in various fine art disciplines. I have demonstrated creativity through my planning in creating, extended daily creative exercises like Inktober, artworks outside of school, experimenting with different approaches to an idea, and notes on what inspires me to create.
Planning
The brainstorming and thumbnailing stage of creation is exceedingly valuable as it explores beyond the initial ideas in a project. I have attached a sketchbook page and two matrices that demonstrate my creative process in making the kite for the Flights of Fancy project in 124.
Going Beyond: Sponge Cake
I love when I can take a piece to another level. In sculpture class during our taste unit, we were each given a word from which we were to develop a sculpture from. My word was "wash" and I was able to creatively recreate sponges and soap out of edible materials, creating a piece as real as life.
Creativity Outside of School
I demonstrate creativity by making work outside of assignments. I love to paint and I completed this piece for a national scholarship competition. It didn't win, but I still love this creative and colorful piece!

Exercises like Inktober promotes daily creativity. This is my completed Inktober spread for the 2022 year.
